before you think about settling your loan, talk to us

There are lots of reasons why people settle their loan early. So we’ve put together some useful information to help you decide on your next steps.

you don’t need to settle early if:

  • you’re moving house - your current loan is portable and generally, you can simply transfer it to your new home. Find out more about moving house
  • you're considering re-mortgaging - your loan can usually stay as it is. Find out more about re-mortgaging
  • the rate changes - we may be able to extend your repayment term to lower your monthly repayments 
  • you want to change your loan terms - simply contact us to talk about the changes you’d like to make

what you need to know before settling your loan:

  • according to the terms and conditions of your loan, you will incur early settlement charges. For further details, please refer to your credit agreement 
  • with some of our Payment Protection Insurance, it may be in your interest to wait until the end of the five-year contract as you may be entitled to a refund of premiums you’ve paid. For more information visit our Payment Protection Insurance page
